Preston and Laura got me out of Pittsburgh!
I had the pleasure of performing at their wedding in Johnstown, a market I had hoped to be exposed to for a long while. When they contacted me, Preston informed me I was his choice, because of the diversity of my musical knowledge, and how impressed he was with my reviews and recommendations. I was very proud to hear I was so highly regarded. We shared many different ideas to bring their reception to life, which made the flow go really smoothly without any guessing.
The happy couple chose the talents of In-Vision Studio upon my recommendation, which gave me an extra boost of confidence, knowing they trusted my input. Photographers Steve and Barb Barry, also had ties to Johnstown, so is was serendipitous to have them involved.
The Frank J. Pasquerilla Center was a great venue to play in. The manager, Pablo, and his staff, were quite polite, and made my experience in Johnstown very pleasant.
The uplighting was in the capable hands of Dustin Greene of Top Dog Productions, and coordination of event planner Joelle Hadix

Preston and Laura got me out of Pittsburgh!
I knew Heather and Bryan were a good fit for me the moment I met them.
They were a very easy couple to get along with, and I couldn’t wait to be part of their day!
The reception was held at The Georgetown Centre in the South Hills (Pittsburgh), and I always have a pleasant experience working with their staff.
I had a really fantastic guest response, and everyone came ready to party. Heather’s dad hammed it up, and was pretty hilarious. I think he was definitely the highlight of my evening!
One of the most important things a couple can tell me, is how comfortable I made them feel, and their having the most confidence in my performing beyond their expectations. That is something I do for all my wedding couples, but still really nice to hear 🙂 I had the opportunity to work with photographer Matt Gaydos, and it is always nice to work with someone with a great personality 🙂
My really awesome feel good moment, was running into Heather and Bryan over the July 4th holiday, and they still couldn’t thank me enough! Well if I may politely correct you, I can’t thank YOU enough for making me part of your day.
All the best you Heather and Bryan!
This is one I should have written a really long time ago!
Ashley and I had been acquainted for some time before she asked me to be the entertainment at her wedding, so accepting this event was a no brainer for me 🙂
Ashley (or AY as her close friends call her), has a really energetic and bubbly personality, and JD was definitely more laid back when I met him. As a couple, they were very creative and lots of fun! When presented with the venue, I was a bit skeptical about how it would work in a theater setting, but I was in no way disappointed when I got the opportunity to perform at The New Hazlett Theater. Manager, Alex Bard, was very accommodating, and a pleasure to work with.
This reception was quite a challenge for me and my interactive style, since I work alone, and where I was placed was in an elevated position, but I was able to make adjustments!
Since the venue was a theater, of course the theme was theatrical. The creativity that went into the decor was really great, romantic movie poster replicas (featuring AY and JD of course), a realistic movie set for the ceremony, and the Smurfy cake!
Some of the highlights that were pretty memorable to me, the Grand Entrance, when everyone was introduced, they stayed in the balconies for a really cool interpretative dance routine before dinner, a hilarious cake cutting routine, and Ashley breaking out into a mock flash mob with her friends partway through the evening. I had the pleasure of working with photographer, Tressa McCune, and event planner, Veronica Stewart, of Exquisite Events
I really enjoyed working at such a unique venue, and would be more than happy to endorse The New Hazlett Theater to anyone looking for a really different place to party!
Thank you so much Ashley and JD, for such a unique experience!
My first contact with Ardie and her mom, was at the 2010 Pittsburgh Bridal Showcase. She had a really infectious personality, and you couldn’t help but love her!
When I heard from her almost a year later, our conversation went something like this:
Thank you for calling Nameless Entertainment, This is Arron.
“Are you open in May 2012?”
I have a few dates open, what do you need?
“I need you… To DJ my wedding!”
I must say I was quite flattered, after speaking to her, Ardie told me, before she was even engaged, I was her choice to perform at her wedding. In fact, I was the only thing she was sure of besides the date 🙂
I very much looked forward to Ardie and Kyle’s wedding, because it gave me the opportunity to work at one of my favorite venues, The Heinz History Center, and the pleasure of collaborating with banquet manager, Maura Minteer, not to mention, the photography talents of Leeann Marie, and her assistant Alisa. I couldn’t have been happier!
The guest response was great, and Ardie was a complete joy to work with, her energy and enthusiasm made it so easy to accomplish the anticipated task.
Small reception, BIG fun!!
What can I say about this wedding, FANTASTIC! With such a positive feed from the guests, this reception was a real blast.
I met Mike and Tiffany via recommendation from his cousin, who attended a wedding I did a few years ago, and I really appreciate when people remember my work, and trust me enough to pass my name on, I never get tired of that.
Anyway, a really fun loving group, and surprisingly with the slight obstacle of an elevated dance floor, there was no stopping these people!
The team I was more than happy to work with, consisted of Mascaro’s Catering, exclusive to the Kingston Hall. June Miller and her daughter Terri, communicated well, and the staff was fast and efficient. It was great working with sisters, Beth and Aimee of Studio W Photography. A friend of the groom built a photo booth, and it fit the event well.
All in all, it was another awesome reason why I love my job, thank you again to Mr. and Mrs. Hoteck, for allowing me to be part of your big day!
I had the great pleasure of performing for a rather entertaining family on 14 April 2012.
The recommendation came from my good and oft mentioned friend Jonathan Mihellis!
I was at first apprehensive, as I normally do not make it customary to book clients I have never met, but from the first time I spoke to the mother of the bride, I felt immediately comfortable.
The reception was held at the Weirton KofC. Kassy Piergallini and her staff were a great pleasure to work with. Jonathan provided the uplighting for the event through his company, A Cut Above Music and Entertainment. Photographer, Ryan Walsh, and his brother Brendan, were there to capture the whole thing.
This family was pretty unique, and one of the most original wedding receptions I’ve ever performed. The groom wrote and recorded the couple’s first dance (yes, I know it’s been done), but just before the party really got started, Courtney’s dad informed me that there would be a short “performance” before the dancing begun. Imagine my surprise when I saw a large box filled with balls, bowling pins and fire sticks…. Did I mention unicycles?? As an initiation into the family, Brian had to perform with Courtney’s siblings and father, and I have to be honest, for a moment, I was outdone 🙂 The whole evening was spectacular, and I was really happy to be part of the whole thing. Much thanks to the Ridge and Kissinger families!
Even I was impressed with the things they had to say about me. It’s letters like this, that make me want to do my job forever! Let’s read, shall we?…….
I’m sorry that we were not able to create a video testimonial for you after our reception. It had been a very long, hot day. However, we did want you to know how much we truly appreciated the things you did to make our wedding day so special.
From the first time we met with you, we knew you were going to be an amazing DJ. There was no question in our minds that we should book you for our wedding. We knew we had nothing to worry about in terms of the entertainment with you in charge. That was a huge relief for a bride that was worrying about everything under the sun, and the groom who had to put up with her. You understood what we wanted to see at our wedding and you made it happen on our special day. During the planning stage, you were very open and honest. You shared our opinions and experience, but you never said, “This is how I do it.” Even when we considered goofy ideas that were obviously not your personal style, like boy band medleys, you were on board. You wanted us to be happy.
On the day of the wedding, you took the lead. You made sure everything ran smoothly and it did. Despite the diversity of our crowd, you managed to get them all up and dancing at one point or another. You played as many requests as you could while still respecting the atmosphere that Steve and I wanted to create.
We were so excited to be the first couple to use the personalized light. It was absolutely beautiful! It really added to the décor in the room. We would definitely recommend this extra personal touch to other couples. It made a very nice background for our wedding photos.
Your props brought even more fun to the night. The little kids [and a few of the big ones too] loved the glow necklaces. The leis and straw hats really brought the conga to life. I think our personal favorites were the headlight and the football used during the garter/bouquet toss. It was nice to have a few things that were even surprises to us on that day.
Even when the night was cut a little short, you kept things moving smoothly. You kept the party going until the very end. I don’t think anybody left feeling like something had been missed.
Even several month later, people still talk about how much fun they had at our wedding. That was thanks to you! You brought the party to life and made our wedding reception a truly memorable one! Our guests have done nothing but rave about what a phenomenal job you did. We will certainly be recommending you to anyone who is planning a special event. we cannot thank you enough for making our wedding more wonderful than we could have imagined.
Thank you again!
